The Beginning of Legion Online

Today, I’ve decided to start working on Legion Online… Well that’s a lie. I actually started a couple of days ago, maybe three or four. But the point is that I’m going to finally start taking my LegionRPG project seriously. I’m going to actually attempt to finally start it up with my new-found skills in game programming.

Currently, I am working on the update auto-uploader. It’s a piece of software that I am creating to automatically upload the files needed for updating the game. It grabs all of the files needed for people to update their game, and stores them on an FTP server. Then it will create a file listing where all of these files can be found, and their file sizes.

The users launcher will check their file sizes in order to make sure that their files are the newest versions. This way, the game will always stay updated. Seems not too hard. But basically, I’ve been working on this for the past few hours, and it’s been working out pretty well for the most part. We’ll see where it goes from here.

Also, just as a note, over 100 people have already signed up for the game, however the Legion Online website has been up for over three years with no promotion, or release by me whatsoever.
